Relieve and reduce mild stress, anxiety, depression and fatigue with this one posture. This pose also helps to alleviate asthma, sinus problems and back pain. Does it get better?
Bridge Pose starts supine on the floor with knees up and heels as close as possible to the sit bones. Legs are parallel to the floor and the knees track over the second toe, so as not to touch each other. Life the buttocks up and knees are directly over the heels. Bring your arms underneath your hips and interlace the fingers while at the same time elongating the arms towards your heels. Inhale and exhale slowly while maintaining the correct posture. Stay in this pose for up to one minute. Exhale when you release the pose.

Confessions of a coffee/Redbull addict.

Yes, it’s true, I was a coffee and Red Bull addict for a while. I couldn’t start my day without a strong cup, or three of coffee (Organic), and if I didn’t have that, I started my day with a not so organic Red Bull. Sometimes more than two Red Bulls throughout the day. I knew it was the wrong choice, however I just couldn’t seem to kick the habit, until recently. I kept saying to myself (and others) that I needed the “kick” to get through my hectic and rushed day, that I wouldn’t be able to think without the caffeine and other ingredients. Well, I was wrong.
I actually, stopped the caffeine altogether and actually swapped out coffee/Red Bull for warm water with lemon. Seriously, you’re asking? Yes, seriously. Not only do I actually wake up on this simple mix, but I actually have far more energy than I did when I was on all those liquid stimulants. Amazing right? Not really. It makes sense that once you stop flooding your body with toxins that your body can begin to repair itself from the inside out.
My point here is to consider what you are doing on a daily basis. I’m not saying to go nuts and cut out everything you are used to, I’m simply saying be mindful of what you are doing to your body. I’m no saint and I do know that I will be enjoying my coffee from time to time, just not daily. The less is more motto works here. Take a chance and try it.
Be well!
